Applicants in Thailand can apply for grants of up to £10,000 (467,000 Baht) for projects that enable genuine international collaboration between the UK and Asia-Pacific countries. We accept applications from all art forms; however, proposals addressing Climate Change, and Diversity and Inclusion may be prioritised during final decision-making. Projects supported by the Connections Through Culture grants are required to include at least one UK-based applicant and one applicant based in Thailand.

The Connections Through Culture grants support new international collaborations between the UK and Thailand, offering grant support to organisations and artists in the development of their creative projects.

Mr Danny Whitehead, Director of the British Council in Thailand said, “We’re proud to support new creative collaborations between the United Kingdom and Thailand through our Connections Through Culture grants. These grants can spark big ideas and major collaborations. Since 2019, grants totalling around 10 million Thai Baht have been channelled to support more than 40 arts and culture collaborations. We’re proud to provide this support, keeping the doors open for artists in both countries to connect and showcase their talents on the international stage. Connections Through Culture grants not only create meaningful artistic exchanges but also help to foster a greater understanding that enriches the global creative landscape.”
