Bangkok, Thailand – As the summer season heats up, Ventisi restaurant at Centara Grand at Centralworld invites food lovers to cool down with the refreshing and unique Thai dish – Khao Chae.
Traditionally served during the summer months, “khao chae” literally means “rice” (khao) and “to soak” (chae) and is often translated to “rice soaked in water”. Steamed rice is soaked in iced jasmine-scented water and served with various accompaniments, including fried shrimp, sweet pork, and green mango. An ancient recipe, it was created by the Mon people as an offering to the gods during the Songkhran rites. It later became popular in the Thai royal court.
Located on the 24th floor of the hotel, Ventisi offers diners the perfect opportunity to beat the heat and indulge in this delicious dish throughout April during our lunch and dinner buffets. Guests can enjoy the rich flavours and unique taste of Khao Chae for only THB 290 ++ per set.

The buffet is available for lunch daily and is priced at THB 1,355++ per person and THB 677++ per child (6-11 years old) from 12.00 – 15.00 hrs. (excluding beverages)
The themed buffets are available every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening and are priced at THB 1,590++ per person and Children, 6-11: THB 795++ from 18.00 – 22.30 hrs. (excluding beverages)
